What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected

Registration is not required to use the Heavenmail service. Registration is purely voluntary and is solely for the purpose of requesting that we contact you from time to time with products or services that we offer or may offer in the future. There is no obligation to register for these communications to use the Heavenmail service.

Heavenmail allows users to submit certain information in the form of an email communication to a departed loved one. The information that we collect in the forms used for this purpose is not used for marketing purposes. The name field is not intended to be an actual identifiable name or email address and may simply be a nickname. In some instances where the user provides specific information voluntarily in that location it will be accepted by the Heavenmail system but will not be used for marketing purposes. Except as provided below, in either event none of the information collected by the Heavenmail forms is used to communicate with anyone. It is simply provided to give the user the ability to designate the identity of the recipient in some way that is meaningful to the user.

Heavenmail does offer the ability for users to provide their contact information so that we may contact them about certain approved offers including offers of Heavenmail or limited third party associates for products or services which we believe to be appropriate for the users. Submission of information for this purpose is purely voluntary and information provided will be used for the purpose indicated.

Heavenmail asks, as part of the submission process, if you would like your message to be included in our occasional publication of messages. If you choose to request consideration of you message for inclusion you agree, that we may review and, if selected, use, publish, copy, sell, license, sublicense or otherwise distribute for any and all purposes such message. You grant Heavenmail a non-exclusive, world-wide, royalty free right to use the message and associated content for such purposes. It is our hope that the publication of such a collection may help others in need of healing and dealing with a sense of loss and unshared words. Users may opt-in to our mailing list if they wish to be contacted in the event that any such publication is ever produced.

IP addresses
Heavenmail uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our servers, to administer and evaluate the website and and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

Heavenmail uses “cookies” to automatically help provide better services. They remind us who you are and your preferences for our website based on what you’ve done and told us before. The “cookie” is placed in your computer and is read when you come back to our website. Cookies let us take you to the information and features you’re particularly interested in. They also let us track your usage of the website so we know how frequently you visit and which parts of our site is are most popular. You can reject cookies or cancel them by instructing your Web browser accordingly.

How Your Information May Be Used
We rarely ever use any information that you provide to us. When it is used, it is used to contact you regarding our services or those of our approved partners. The only information we use in this regard is what you provide in the opt-in mailing list request or any registration portion of our website. WE DO NOT USE THE DATA FROM YOUR MESSAGES TO LOVED ONES TO CONTACT YOU IN ANY WAY.

As to the mailing lists, you may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease all communications from us. We may also use your information to track visitors to our website. This lets us see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve our users’ needs. It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally, but showing how many visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties.

Heavenmail messages are purged from the system on a regular basis with an appropriate and respectful non-denominational prayer for the user and the recipient of healing.

Heavenmail will never use information from your messages to loved ones to contact you and does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone outside the organization. Where you choose to register with us voluntarily, we may contact you from time to time regarding out products or services or those of our approved partners.
